【Corporate News】“Training and Seminar on the Guidelines for the Preparation of Reports on ESG for Listed Companies Controlled by Central Enterprise” successfully held in Hong Kong

On 19 October, the Hong Kong session of the "Training and Seminar on the Guidelines for the Preparation of Reports on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) for Listed Companies Controlled by Central Enterprise" (央企控股上市公司ESG专项报告编制工作培训交流会) was successfully held. Mr. Zheng Donghua, Deputy Director of the SASAC Research Centre, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Mr. Liao Yuan, Managing Director and General Manager of CECEPHK, as well as the Deputy Secretary-General of the China Climate Investment and Finance Association, delivered a welcome speech.

We were honored to have Ms. Christine Lau, Assistant Vice President at Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX), as a guest speaker at this event. Ms. Lau provided insights into the development of ESG disclosure for listed companies at HKEX over the years. She also shared the latest revisions and practical applications of the " Environmental, Social and Governance Reporting Guide." Additionally, Mr. Wang Hai, Company Secretary of CSSC (Hong Kong) Shipping Company Limited
, presented a sharing on the company's outstanding practices in the ESG field from multiple perspectives. Ms. Zhang Jie, Vice General Manager of the Investment Banking Department at China International Capital Corporation (International) Limited, elaborated on the organic integration between corporate ESG performance and enterprise valuation. Furthermore, Dr. Terence Chan Ho-wah, Vice Chairman of HKINEDA, shared insights from an association's perspective on the ESG management issues and improvement methods faced by listed companies.

During the event, Ms. YAO TONG, Director of the Sustainability Department, and Mr. Andy San, Manager of the Sustainability Department, provided a comprehensive explanation of the "Reference of ESG Indicators System for ESG Reports of Listed Companies Controlled by Central Enterprises."( 《央企控股上市公司ESG专项报告参考指标体系》) and the "Template Reference for ESG Reports of Listed Companies Controlled by Central Enterprises"( 央企控股上市公司ESG专项报告参考模板) .
