【Corporate News】The First “Training and Seminar on the Guidelines for the Preparation of Reports on ESG for Listed Companies Controlled by Central Enterprise” successfully held in Beijing


Introduction


Our first "Training and Seminar on the Guidelines for the Preparation of Reports on Environmental, Social, and Governance for Listed Companies Controlled by Central Enterprise" (央企控股上市公司ESG专项报告编制工作培训交流会) held successfully in Beijing on Wednesday, June 7th. The event is jointly organized by the Research Center of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (“SASAC”) and China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (“CECEP”), and undertaken by CECEP Environmental Consulting Group Limited (“CECEPEC”).


Mr.Cao Huabin, Vice President of CECEP Group, delivered a speech.



Mr. Qi Yue, Director of the International Cooperation Department of SASAC, shared the research results of the project.


Background

During the event, we gave a detailed interpretation of the "Reference of ESG Indicators System for ESG Reports of Listed Companies Controlled by Central Enterprises"( 《央企控股上市公司ESG专项报告参考指标体系》) and the "Template Reference for ESG Reports of Listed Companies Controlled by Central Enterprises"( 央企控股上市公司ESG专项报告参考模板)  and conducted a comparative analysis of the "Guidelines" with mainstream ESG information disclosure standards.


Ms. Hu Jingwen, Director of the Sustainable Development Department of CECEPEC, provided a detailed interpretation.


We also provided practical and feasible suggestions on how to prepare a high-quality ESG report and how to improve corporate ESG management based on the needs of participating companies.


Ms. Li Shite, Manager of the Sustainable Development Department of CECEPEC, shared her insights.


During the sharing session, Mr. Leng Bing, a member of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), Ms. Wang Fang, the Executive Editor of Fortune China in Shanghai, and Mr. Bi Fengdong, general manager of the Quality, Safety and Environmental Protection Department of Kunlun Energy Company Limited, each gave a keynote speech from the perspectives of international regulatory bodies, international influential media, and corporate ESG governance excellence, respectively.

Conclusion

During the discussion session, representatives from SASAC, international organizations, and various central enterprises engaged in a lively exchange of ideas. They discussed the usage of the "Guidelines," key points that companies should focus on when preparing ESG reports, shared achievements and experiences in sustainable development theory, and looked ahead to the future development trend of China\'s ESG standards in unison.
